She is a woman that is not easily broken, and very little seems to get to her. At least she pretends that little gets to her. Some think that she behaves the way she does to make up for something else she lacks, others believe it’s simply a way to hide soft, sensitive parts she’d much rather not show. Whatever the reason, she will not speak of herself unless it is of a high regard, and never indulges anyone with her personal thoughts. She thrives on gossip and secrets; depending on how it will benefit her, she may or may not keep it from the ears of others. However, most often than not, she has discovered that the things she knows are better left unsaid. It seems that there are those that are willing to keep her happy in order to prevent her from saying anything unnecessary to others.

She comes from a middle-class working family. Her father works, her mother works, most of her siblings work as well. But none of them could, nor have, ever brought in enough yen for her tastes. While they did their best to provide for their daughter, Masami’s ideals were often above and beyond what they could make available. Pushing aside their wishes that she would settle and *gasp* help the family, and herself, by finding real work, she decided that she was going to find something a little more worthwhile.

And it had to be something that was not only simple enough, but was enjoyable to her. It didn’t take her long to set her sights on something that, in her mind, fit the bill; the entertainment industry. Signing, dancing, acting… it didn’t matter, as long as she could do it, make money, and still have a good time in the process.

At sixteen she moved out of her family’s home and took up residence with one of her friends. It wasn’t long before she caught the eye of a talent agent, and soon after, discovered what would really advance her career. She was more than willing to do what was needed to catch the attention of a producer, please a cameraman to make sure she was shot well under his lens, make sure that no matter what, she was seen in a favorable light.

So far, her move up has been slow, the parts rather mediocre. But she knows her work will pay off eventually. Her talent agent insists she has the right skills, and sooner or later, Masami is certain she will get her big break.
